Granting Opportunities

Research:

The Theriogenology Foundation will fund research that is designed to improve animal health while expanding the knowledge base in theriogenology.

Equine: Exciting advances have been made in the field of equine reproduction; however, continued research is greatly needed in many areas including pregnancy loss, endometritis, cloning, and semen analysis.

Food Animal/Production: Reproductive success is essential for sustainability in all farm and ranch raised food animals. Our research promotes reproductive health, animal stewardship, and the interaction between reproduction, nutrition and the environment.

Wildlife/Exotics:Research on reproductive biology for wildlife and exotics is needed to provide methods for species conservation and to ensure biodiversity. Specific areas of emphasis include reproductive biotechnology and the impact of toxins on reproduction.

Canine/Feline:Our research focuses on the prevention and treatment of inherited and acquired reproductive diseases that impact the health and longevity of our companion animals.

Travel:

Students:

The Theriogenology Foundation supports and encourages academic excellence in students who exhibit a keen interest in theriogenology. Funds are available to assist with travel costs for students in order that they may presentv abstracts and case reports at the theriogenology convention. Alumni supported funds (SACO) are also available to assist those student wishing to attend the annual conference who may not be presenting but are participating in other capacities.

Residents / Interns:

Residents and interns are the future leaders of our profession and deserve support as they establish themselves in this specialty. Through your generosity, the Foundation provides travel stipends that facilitate their active participation in the educational, professional, and social networking opportunities provided during the Annual Theriogenology Conference. Applications are due June 1.

Students:

The Theriogenology Foundation provides students with opportunities for additional hands-on learning and exposes them to guest lecturers from a broad array of practice backgrounds.

Student Chapter Grants

Zemjanis Fund:

The Zemjanis Outreach Fund is intended to aid veterinarians traveling from developing countries to the United States for educational purposes or for sending a trainer to a developing country to conduct training on-site.
